Tamara Michel “Tammy” Haines, 36, of Washington, died unexpectedly at 1:33 a.m. Sunday, April 28, 2013, in her home.

She was born December 16, 1976, in Washington, a daughter of Larry A. Haines (significant other Linda Fischer) and Pamela D. Startare (husband John Startare).

Ms. Haines was a homemaker and a member of Immaculate Conception Church.

She was a graduate of Trinity High School and a graduate of Washington & Jefferson College with a degree in psychology and sociology.

Ms. Haines was a hardworking young lady, raising five children, managing Pancake Skate and Whirl for many years, along with helping others in any capacity she could. She was a member of Keystone Club and Business and Professional Women (Canonsburg Chapter).

Surviving, in addition to her parents and extended family, are her children, daughter Samantha C. Turner, at home, son Ethan Michael Turner, at home, son Ty C. Wheeler, at home, son Michael A. Wheeler, at home and daughter Gabriella L. Wheeler, at home; brothers Eric (Jill) Startare of Washington, John (Terri) Startare of Canonsburg and Joseph (Jody) Startare of Washington; sister Michele (Albert) Palamara of South Park; maternal grandmother Sally Grantz of Washington; uncle and aunt William and Patricia Watson of Washington; five nieces, Kellie, Amanda, Savannah, Kaylie and Lexi; five nephews, Zachary, Jeremiah, Jacob, Alex and John; and several cousins.

Deceased are her maternal grandfather, Wray Grantz; paternal grandparents Delmar and Hilda Haines; and other paternal grandparents, Betty and Hunter Startare.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in Warco-Falvo Funeral Home Inc., Wilson at East Katherine avenues, Washington, S. Timothy Warco, supervisor/director, Susan Falvo Warco, director, S. Timothy Warco II, director, where a prayer service will be held at 8:45 a.m. Thursday, May 2, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Immaculate Conception Church, Washington. Burial will follow in Washington Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks memorial contributions be made in her memory to Washington Community Bank, West Chestnut Street, Washington, for a fund set up for the care of her children. Condolences may be expressed at www.WarcoFalvoFuneralHome.com.
