Virginia L. Emerson of Carmichaels went home to be with her Lord and Savior Sunday, August 4, 2013.
She was the beloved wife of Irvin E. Emerson of 67 years.
Surviving are her husband, Irvin; children Nancy “June” Laucher (Ed) of Medina, Ohio, and William B. Emerson (Diane) of Carmichaels; a brother, Donald R. Johnson (Mary) of Bruceton Mills, W.Va.; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceeded in death by her parents, Albert M and Mabel McCay Johnson; a son, Richard Emerson; brothers Charles, Robert and Nelson Johnson; and a sister, Eleanor Nayward.
Mrs. Emerson loved her family and was a wonderful cook. She was a longtime member of John Corbly Memorial Church in Garards Fort. She was a faithful follower of Christ and a prayer warrior. She will be honored and remembered for being unceasing in prayer for her family and friends.
Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday and 1 to 2 p.m., the time of service, Wednesday, August 7, in Lesako Funeral Home Inc., 204 Dowlin Avenue, Carmichaels, PA 15320, 724-966-5100, Paul M.
