Martha F. Oldham Stewart, 93, of Burgettstown, passed away peacefully Monday, August 5, 2013, in Washington County Health Center, Chartiers Township.
She was born June 20, 1920, in Langeloth, a daughter of the late Franklin and Ivy Mae Rogers Oldham.
Mrs. Stewart spent her life being a homemaker and loving her family. She enjoyed going camping on the east coast with her husband, taking care of her cat and tending to her ivy.
Surviving are a daughter, Kathy Babyak of Burgettstown; four grandchildren, John Babyak and wife Paula, Kim Fanase and husband Carmen, Jim Babyak and Leslie Wager and husband Michael; and six great-grandchildren, Jessica Fender Cecchini and husband Andre, Josh Fender, Andrew, Alex, Jenna and Jake Babyak.
Deceased, in addition to her parents, are her husband, James Everett Stewart, who died in 1985; a daughter, Lesa I. Higgins and husband Butch; a son-in-law, Jack Babyak; and a sister, Shirley Purdy.
To honor Mrs. Stewart’s wishes, there will be no public visitation and services will be held privately under the direction of Lee and Martin Funeral Home, 73 Highland Avenue, Burgettstown.
