Norma Dillie, 80, of Washington, died Tuesday, August 6, 2013, in Washington Hospital.

Arrangements are incomplete and will be announced by William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., Washington.

An interment site service for James L. Holleran Jr., will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, August 10, in Forest Lawn Gardens, McMurray. All friends are welcome.

1923-2013

Katherine Lillard Johnson, 89, of Francis Mine, Burgettstown, peacefully went home to be with her Lord Monday afternoon, August 5, 2013, in Donnell House, Washington.

She was born November 6, 1923, in Steubenville, Ohio, a daughter of the late James and Annie Mooney Lillard.

A graduate of Washington High School, she retired from Martin Luther King Jr. Elementary School in Pittsburgh, where she was a teachers aid.

Mrs. Johnson was a member of New Hope Church of God in Christ, Francis Mine, where she founded and taught the Sunday school program because of her love for all kids.

Her husband, the Elder Mason Johnson, whom she married in 1955, survives.

Also surviving are a son, Mason Richard Johnson Jr. and wife Rose of Washington; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a brother, Frank Lillard Sr. of Francis Mine; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Deceased, in addition to her parents, are three sisters, Laura Foster Moore, Virginia Orison and Elsie M. Kinney, and four brothers, Howard Huggins, Ernest Lillard, and Jimmy and Johnny, who died in infancy.

Friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday in Lee and Martin Funeral Home, 73 Highland Avenue, Burgettstown, where services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, August 10, with the Rev. James Johnson officiating.Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Burgettstown.

St. Ann’s Church member enjoyed her grandchildren

Diane Kelley, 56, of Holbrook, died Sunday, August 4, 2013, in Donnell House, Washington.

She was born January 20, 1957, a daughter of Lucretia Anderson Pester of Waynesburg and the late James F. Pester.

Mrs. Kelley was a 1975 graduate of Waynesburg High School and a graduate of Waynesburg College.

She had worked as an accountant and estate administrator for the law firm of Goldfarb, Posner, Beck, DeHaven and Drewitz of Washington.

Mrs. Kelley lived all of her life in Greene County and the Waynesburg and Sycamore areas.

She was a member of St. Ann’s Roman Catholic Church in Waynesburg.

Mrs. Kelley enjoyed most her grandchildren and following their many activities.

Surviving, in addition to her mother, are a son, Patrick Kelley of Houma, La.; a daughter, Debbie Pester and husband Alex of Sycamore; four grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Kyle, Aiden and Eva Pester; her companion with whom she lived, Jeff Isiminger and his children, Brittany and Jeffrey Isiminger; a brother, Jim Pester; and a sister, Mary Pester.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in Behm Funeral Homes Inc., 182 West High Street, Waynesburg, where a blessing service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, August 8, with Father John M. Midway VFW commander

Harry E. Lambert Jr., 66, of McDonald, Mt. Pleasant Township, died Friday, August 2, 2013, in Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh.

He was born November 1, 1946, in Newburg, W.Va., a son of Frances J. Wilt Lambert of Bulger and the late Harry E. Lambert Sr.

Mr. Lambert was a machine operator with Park Ohio of Aliquippa.

He was commander of Midway Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 520 and was chosen for parade and guard duty at the White House, while serving in the military.

Mr. Lambert enjoyed his dog, Scooter, and the outdoors.

Surviving are his wife of 13 years, Margaret “Peggy” Lander Lambert; sisters Mary Raab of Harrisburg and Loretta (Donald V.) Donaldson of Bulger; several nieces and nephews; and mother-in-law and father-in-law Francis and Faye Lander.

Deceased, in addition to his father, are a sister, Dorothy Griffith; a brother, Robert Lander; and mother-in-law Margaret Lander.

At the request of the deceased, there will be no visitation. A service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, August 9, in National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Cecil Township. Full military rites will be accorded by Canonsburg Post 191 and Houston American Legion Post 902. A wake will be held following at the Midway Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 520

Former Waynesburg resident

Eleanor McClelland, 86, of Portage, Ind., formerly of Medaryville, Ind., and Waynesburg, passed away Saturday, August 3, 2013.

She was a member of Daughters of America.

Deceased are husband Walter Lindsy McClelland; parents Harry Clifton Hoge and Edith West Hoge; and brothers Ralph and Gerald Hoge.

Surviving are son James (Noeli) McClelland; granddaughter Danica (Jeremy Molchan) McClelland; great-granddaughter Shaylyn McClelland; sister Loreen Dukate of Waynesburg; brothers LaVerne (Betty) Hoge of Washington and Reed (Shirley) Hoge of Roanoke, Va.; and many loving friends.

There will be a greeting of friends from 10 to 11 a.m., the time of service, Friday, August 9, in Greene County Memorial Park mausoleum, Morgan Township, with Minister Mike Hasselbring officiating. Burial will be held in Greene County Memorial Park.

Carol Ann McGregor, 74, of McDonald, Mt. Pleasant Township, died Monday, August 5, 2013, in UPMC-Shadyside hospital, Pittsburgh.

She was born April 12, 1939, in Pittsburgh, a daughter of the late George and Anna Serena Kyle.

Mrs. McGregor was a shift supervisor at Bruce Plastics.

She enjoyed Pittsburgh sports and spending time with her grandchildren.

Surviving are children Stephen (Stacy Haas) McGregor of Beechview, Kenneth (Bobbi Jo) McGregor of McDonald, Karen (Michael) Strain of Center Township, Keith (Nancy) McGregor of Moon Township and Teresa (Kevin Boling) Arbuckle of McDonald; 14 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a brother, Ronald (Hao) Kyle of the state of California; and a sister, Rita Cohen of Ohio.

Deceased are her husband, Richard F. McGregor, January 2, 2002, and a brother, George Kyle.

Army veteran was Mellon Bank retiree

Albert B. “Dino” Parascenzo, 78, of Canonsburg, died Tuesday, August 6, 2013, in Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh.

He was born January 30, 1935, in Canonsburg, a son of the late Alberto and Virginia Butti Parascenzo.

Mr. Parascenzo was a 1952 graduate of Canonsburg High School and a member of St. Patrick Church and Muse Italian Club, where he served as an officer. He also served with the U.S. Army.

Prior to retirement, he was a loan officer for Mellon Bank and, at the time of his death, was employed by Northwest Consumer Discount as a loan officer.

Surviving are wife Carol Schmidt Parascenzo; five daughters, Carina Luwisch (David) of Los Angeles, Calif., Michelle Haywood of Claysville, Dina Boyle (James) of Canonsburg, Marcy VonScio (Kevin) of Washington and Paula Gesselberty (Francis) of McMurray; a brother, Raldo Parascenzo of Canonsburg; eight grandchildren, Carlie and Emily Haywood, Elizabeth and Joshua Gesselberty, Tonia Boyle, Drew and Kyle VonScio and Seth Luwisch; and several nieces and nephews.

Deceased is a sister, Savina Mazzotta.

Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday in Sollon Funeral Home Ltd., 30 East College Street, Canonsburg, J. David Sollon, supervisor, Phillip L. Sollon, director, where departing prayers will be at 9:30 a.m. Friday, August 9, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, Canonsburg. Beloved brother, father, grandfather

Tommy Arnold Rohrer, 73, of Middletown, Va., died Sunday, August 4, 2013, in his home.

He was born in 1940, in Clarksville, a son of the late Charles R. and Opal C. Rohrer.

Mr. Rohrer was a veteran, having served in the U.S. Marine Corps.

He was employed at Pepco, retiring in 1995.

Mr. Rohrer was a member of United Methodist Church in Middletown.

He was a beloved brother, father, grandfather and friend. He was an infamous communicator and loved spending time on the golf course.

Surviving are a daughter, Nichole Rohrer-Bassingthwaite and husband Jason of Alexandria, Va.; two granddaughters, Sophia and Olivia; three sisters, Gloria McKee of Greensboro, Dorothy Reaney and husband Edward of Baltimore, Md., and Barbara Summers and husband Ben of West Chester; two brothers, Richard Rohrer and wife Mary Carol of Mather and Terry Arnold Rohrer of New York.

Deceased are three brothers, Donald, James and Glenn Rohrer.

A memorial service will be conducted at 11:30 a.m. Friday, August 9, in Grace United Methodist Church, Middletown, with the Rev. Thomas Keithley officiating. Military honors will be afforded by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2123.

Martha F. Oldham Stewart, 93, of Burgettstown, passed away peacefully Monday, August 5, 2013, in Washington County Health Center, Chartiers Township.

She was born June 20, 1920, in Langeloth, a daughter of the late Franklin and Ivy Mae Rogers Oldham.

Mrs. Stewart spent her life being a homemaker and loving her family. She enjoyed going camping on the east coast with her husband, taking care of her cat and tending to her ivy.

Surviving are a daughter, Kathy Babyak of Burgettstown; four grandchildren, John Babyak and wife Paula, Kim Fanase and husband Carmen, Jim Babyak and Leslie Wager and husband Michael; and six great-grandchildren, Jessica Fender Cecchini and husband Andre, Josh Fender, Andrew, Alex, Jenna and Jake Babyak.

Deceased, in addition to her parents, are her husband, James Everett Stewart, who died in 1985; a daughter, Lesa I. Higgins and husband Butch; a son-in-law, Jack Babyak; and a sister, Shirley Purdy.

To honor Mrs. Stewart’s wishes, there will be no public visitation and services will be held privately under the direction of Lee and Martin Funeral Home, 73 Highland Avenue, Burgettstown.

A memorial gathering for Donald Allen Whipkey, who died July 27, 2013, will be held at noon Sunday, August 11, in Graysville fire hall. A meal will be served by the ladies auxiliary. Friends and family are welcome.
