Retired cook enjoyed baking, playing bingo
Gladys Kathryn Bowers, 94, of Washington, died Sunday, August 11, 2013, in Washington County Health Center, Chartiers Township.
She was born March 23, 1919, in Wind Ridge, a daughter of W.E. and Minnie Harris Kahlbaugh.
Mrs. Bowers was the last of her immediate family.
She was a member of Beulah Baptist Church, Graysville.
Mrs. Bowers enjoyed baking and playing bingo.
Prior to her retirement, she worked as a cook in several hotels and restaurants.
In August 1943, she married William Edward Bowers, who passed away in 1983.
Surviving are her sons, Oren “Bud” Kahlbaugh and wife Linda of Prosperity, John Bowers and wife Terri of Burgettstown, Carl “Dick” Bowers of Prosperity and Ronald “Ronnie” Bowers of Georgia; a daughter, Debra Yancey and husband Mike of Vale, N.C.; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Eleanor Miller; four brothers, Ralph, Delmar, Alfred and Elias Kahlbaugh; and three sisters, Ida Thomas, Hazel Ealy and Martha Ealy.
Friends will be received from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in Sollon Funeral Home Ltd., 30 East College Street, Canonsburg, J. David Sollon, supervisor, Phillip L. Houston, Canonsburg area resident worked for Teledyn
Fred “Junior” Costanzo Jr., 81, of Houston, passed away Monday, August 12, 2013, in ManorCare, McMurray, with his family by his side.
He was born February 27, 1932, in Canonsburg, a son of the late Fred and Florence Chaido Costanzo.
Mr. Costanzo lived his entire life in the Houston and Canonsburg areas and was a member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, Canonsburg.
He was a graduate of Canonsburg High School, Class of 1949, and had been employed at Teledyn in Carnegie.
Mr. Costanzo was a member of Fraternal Order of Bears in Meadow Lands, Houston Independent Club and Moose Lodge of Canonsburg, where he had tended bar for many years prior to his retirement.
Surviving are two sisters, Pauline Manko of Bridgeville and Mary Bier of Houston; a brother, Sam Costanzo of Levittown; a sister-in-law, Eileen Costanzo; and many nieces and nephews.
Deceased, in addition to his parents, are a brother, Joseph P. Costanzo, and a sister, Frances Eonda.

Known as ‘the girl with the golden heart’
Sheila Conn Edwards, 54, of Export, formerly of Sturgeon, died unexpectedly Sunday, August 11, 2013.
Known as “the girl with the golden heart,” she was born November 30, 1958, in Ohio Valley hospital, a daughter of the late Leander “Boots” Conn; surviving mother Sally Williams; stepfather Frank Williams; and stepmother Susan Conn.
Mrs. Edwards loved the beach and could always be found tending her posies in the garden.
She leaves behind her most precious flowers and children, Joshuah Dean, 28; Erika Danielle, 25; and Aleece Marie, 23.
She leaves behind her four grandchildren, Chase Edward, Kaydence Elizabeth, Ellie Mae and Danielle Jean.
Also surviving are her loving fiancé, Dale Cline; a son-in-law, Edward Tworek; sisters Sally Bott, Margie Conn, Amy Lane and Heather Lynn; brothers Lee Conn and Frankie Williams; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Deceased is a brother, John Conn.
She will be deeply missed by all those whose lives she touched with her love and understanding. Her family would say, when the flowers bloom in May and the ocean crashes to the shore, her voice will be heard.

Loving father, husband and avid sports fan
Keith A. Fetsko II, 34, of Mechanicsburg, formerly of Marianna, died Thursday, August 8, 2013.
He was born December 5, 1978, in Uniontown, a son of Keith Fetsko of Marianna and Brenda Kallis Fetsko of Daisytown, both of whom survive.
Mr. Fetsko was a 1997 graduate of Bethlehem-Center High School, where he was an outstanding letterman in football, wrestling and baseball. He loved sports of all kinds and participated in Little League baseball through Pony League, where he became a Pony League All Star. He was a member of several area golf and softball leagues. He was an avid fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers, Pirates, Penguins, Notre Dame football and Florida Gators.
He was a member of St. Oliver Plunkett Parish, Marianna, and was a social member of Marianna American Legion Post 744 and Marianna Lyceum, where he was a member of the men’s bowling league.
On August 1, 2009, he married Angela M. Lemmon, who survives.
Surviving, in addition to his parents and wife, are four children, Rocco, Giovanni and Dante Fetsko, all at home, and Keiria Hasch of Masontown; a sister, Suzanna Fetsko of Roscoe; a brother, Charles Fetsko of Daisytown; maternal grandmother Florence Kallis of Brownsville; paternal grandmother Diana Fetsko of Marianna; father and mother-in-law Paul and Anna Marie Lemmon of Millersburg; two sisters-in-law, Bettina Lemmon of Bentleyville and Gina Lemmon of Millersburg; a brother-in-law, Dominic Lemmon (Heather) also of Millersburg; and several cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
He also leaves behind his faithful companion, his Labrador and Shepherd mix dog, Bear.
Deceased are his grandfathers, Charles Kallis and Raymond “Buck” Fetsko.
Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in John B. Helen A. Giosta, 93, formerly of Houston, died Friday, August 9, 2013, in Lebanon Valley Home, Annville, where she had resided for the last several years.
She was born January 12, 1920, in Eighty Four, a daughter of David and Martha Nevergold Wilson.
Mrs. Giosta was a member of First United Presbyterian Church, Houston, where she was a member of the Ruth Circle and a Meals on Wheels volunteer.
On May 23, 1953, she married Frank Giosta, who passed away November 30, 2006.
Surviving are three children, Daniel Giosta of Washington, D.C., Larry Giosta (Cathy) of Grove City, Ohio, and Marlene Hinkle (Jim) of Lebanon; a granddaughter, Chelsea Miele; a great-granddaughter, Eden Miele; a sister, Martha Wylie of Washington; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased are three sisters and five brothers.

McElroy Mine retiree was U.S. Army veteran
Wayne Allen Jones, 66, of Cameron, W.Va., died Sunday, August 11, 2013, in his home.
He was born March 23, 1947, in Cameron, a son of the late Denzil and Hazel Lohr Jones.
Mr. Jones was a U.S. Army veteran and a member of American Legion Post 18 of Cameron.
He was retired from Consolidation Coal Co., McElroy Mine.
Mr. Jones was preceded in death by his wife, Carol Reynolds Jones.
Surviving are a daughter, Shawnee “Rodney” Black of Holbrook; two grandchildren, Amber and Nathan Black; and two brothers, Eugene of St. Petersburg, Fla., and Roger of Georgia.

Served PT School District for more than 60 years
Evelyn C. Jozefkowicz, 91, of Peters Township, died Saturday, August 10, 2013.
She was the beloved wife of the late Theodore Jozefkowicz and loving sister of Leona Lemke. She leaves three generations of nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Jozefkowicz served Peters Township School District for more than 60 years. She began her career as a playground supervisor at Venetia School in the early 1950s, served in the original high school cafeteria and was a crossing guard for more than 26 years.
She was also very active in St. Francis of Assisi Church, Finleyville.

Vice president, sales operations manager for PNC
David R. Licht, 46, of Canonsburg, passed away Sunday, August 11, 2013, surrounded by his family.
He was the loving husband of Bethany Clendaniel Licht; father of Olivia and Robbie Licht; and brother of Kristen Licht.
Mr. Licht was born October 7, 1966, in West Point, N.Y., a son of William and Lee Ann Licht.
He was a 1985 graduate of Emmaus High School, Emmaus. He graduated from Slippery Rock University in 1989 with a degree in finance. He was a member of Kappa Delta Rho Fraternity.
Mr. Licht was employed by PNC Bank as a vice president and sales operations manager.
He was active as a youth baseball coach in the community, was an avid skier and baseball and softball player and enjoyed playing platform tennis.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and 12:30 to 1:30 p.m., the time of service, Thursday, August 15, in Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home Inc., 301 Curry Hollow Road, Pleasant Hills. Retired handyman was fine craftsman
Robert Brenton Reedy, 73, of Venetia, passed away Sunday, August 11, 2013, surrounded by his loved ones.
He was born January 24, 1940, in Hickory, a son of the late Clair Alvin Reedy and Hilda Gertrude Davidson.
Mr. Reedy graduated from McDonald High School in 1957.
He married the love of his life, Nancy Gale Conrad, March 30, 1963, and they celebrated 50 years of marriage together this past spring.
An electrician by trade, he worked for Stanton Systems and Pittsburgh-Des Moines Steel and then started his own business as “Handyman Bob” prior to retirement. He was a true “jack-of-all-trades,” able to fix anything around the house (or in the driveway), and was also a fine woodworking craftsman who took great joy in building intricate rocking horses for his grandchildren.
Although he traveled across the country to spend time with his family, his favorite place was Lake Erie. He enjoyed his summers in Erie boating and fishing on the lake, listening to the waves, watching the beautiful sunsets with his wife by his side and making s’mores over the campfire with his family. An avid reader and history buff, he also enjoyed puzzles and playing Scrabble with his wife.
Surviving are his wife, Nancy; two children, Brenton C. of Jacksonville Beach, Fla., and Steven K. of Sparta, N.J.; and six grandchildren, Nicholas, Alexandra, Keith, Samantha, Anna and Kaitlyn.
Also surviving are six siblings, L. Wesley of Lansing, Mich., James of Burgettstown, David of Wiggins, Colo., Bonnie Kolano of Brighton, Colo., Sharon Burt of Taylorstown and Jon of Carrollton, Texas.

Brandon Dominick Teagarden, 31, of Ellsworth, died Sunday, August 11, 2013, in his home.
He was born June 10, 1982, in Washington, a son of Charles and Diane Kerns Teagarden of Ellsworth.
Mr. Teagarden graduated from Bentworth High School with the class of 2001.
He was employed by Somerset Township.
Mr. Teagarden was a member of Ave Maria Parish and the Independent Club, Bentleyville.
In addition to his parents, surviving are a sister, Amanda (Raymond) Rossi of California; maternal grandmother Rosemond Kerns of Ellsworth; paternal grandfather Charles K. Teagarden of Daisytown; a niece, Aubrey Rossi; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Deceased are his paternal grandmother, Polly Teagarden, and maternal grandfather, John Kerns.
