New Eagle woman enjoyed family camping trips

Gladys M. Fabin, 77, of New Eagle, died Friday, August 30, 2013, in Jefferson Hills Manor.

She was born October 25, 1935, in New Eagle, a daughter of Truxall and Effie Bittinger Mayhew.

Mrs. Fabin was a member of First Christian Church, Monongahela.

She loved children and, besides her own, raised many more in and around the neighborhood. She, her husband, Stanley, and the Fabin family would enjoy going on camping trips. She enjoyed watching sports, especially when it came to watching her grandsons play football. She loved cooking, baking, dancing, crossword puzzles, word searches, bingo and playing cards.

Surviving are a son, Stanley A. Fabin Jr. of New Eagle; daughter Cindy Lu Cialone of Uniontown; three grandsons, Justin N. Fabin and wife Chrissy, Joshua S. Cialone and wife Michelle and Zachary A. Cialone; granddaughter Amy Jo Cialone; a great-granddaughter, Abigail Fabin, and one on the way; a son-in-law, Anthony Cialone of Carroll Township; a brother-in-law, Steve Fabin and wife Ann of Eighty Four; three sisters-in-law, Shirley Fabin and Mildred Fabin, both of New Eagle, and Irene Popovich and husband Mike of Scenery Hill; and several nieces and nephews.

Deceased, in addition to her parents, are her husband, Stanley A. Fabin, who died April 18, 1997, and a brother, Buddy Mayhew.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in Frye Funeral Home Inc., 427 West Main Street, Monongahela, where services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, September 4, with the Rev. Gerald Demarest officiating. Interment will follow in Monongahela Cemetery.
