Welder was peacetime vet of U.S. Air Force
Gary A. Harshall, 61, of Graysville, died unexpectedly at 7:10 a.m. Sunday, December 1, 2013, in Golden Living Center, Waynesburg, of a cancer-related illness.
He was born May 24, 1952, in Pittsburgh, a son of the late Albert and Betty Louise Vandevort Harshall.
Mr. Harshall had resided in Harmony and New Jersey prior to moving to Greene County (Center Township) in 1996.
He was a 1970 graduate of Lincoln High School in Ellwood City and had attended a community college for two years.
Mr. Harshall was a peacetime veteran of the U.S. Air Force, where he served as an airman first class in aircraft maintenance.
Mr. Harshall was last employed as a welder with Jersey Tank Fabricators in Cream Ridge, N.J., for over 20 years.
On February 24, 1990, he married Gail Patricia Burns, who survives.
Also surviving are a son, Travis Harshall, at home; a daughter, Lisa Marie, wife of Michael Kennedy of New Castle; three grandchildren, Kayla and Kirsten Kennedy and Trevor Allen Harrington; three brothers, Todd Harshall of Bainesville, Ohio, Tawn, husband of Sheryl Harshall of Butler and Lee, husband of Susan Harshall of Harmony; and several nieces and nephews.
