Korean War vet was avid sportsman
Carl Paul Donolo, 83, of Peters Township, died Saturday, December 7, 2013.
He was the beloved husband of 45 years to the late Helen Petkovich Donolo; loving father of Diane (Jay) Gilliland, Blaise (Linda) Donolo and Valerie Dean; grandfather of Joshua, Joe, Nathan, Maggie, Caleb, Jordan, Annie and Zach; and brother of the late “Don” and Frank.
Mr. Donolo lived the lessons he taught of hard work, honesty, integrity and always doing your best. He treasured time with his family, doing the things he loved: hunting, singing, telling jokes, watching Steelers games and having a good meal.
He was an avid sportsman and a proud veteran of the Korean War.
Friends are welcome from 2 to 8 p.m. Monday in 2828 Washington Road, McMurray, PA 15317. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at noon Tuesday, December 10, in St. Patrick Church, Canonsburg. Entombment will be in Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Peters Township. Funeral arrangements by are by Beinhauers, 724-941-3211.
