Member of Daisytown Presbyterian Church

Nellie Kayatin, 91, of Coal Center, died peacefully Friday, December 6, 2013.

She was born Friday, April 14, 1922, in Rosmar, W.Va., a daughter of the late Steve and Rose Knatko Bobin.

Mrs. Kayatin was a member of Daisytown Presbyterian Church, where she taught Sunday school and conducted Bible study.

Deceased, in addition to her parents, are her husband, Steve “Steamer” Kayatin, who died December 14, 2012; four sisters, Ann Kuretich, Estelle Robillotto, Helen Cushma and Rose Badalamenti; and two brothers, Michael and Andrew Bobin.

Left to cherish her memory are two children and their spouses, Brenda and Richard Hopkins of Clover Hill and Steven and Frances Kayatin of Canonsburg; a brother, Steve Bobin Jr. and wife Evelyn; three grandchildren and two stepgrandchildren, Jessica Hopkins-Estis and husband Dennis, Christopher Kayatin and wife Michelle, Dr. Matthew Kayatin, Teresa McAnally and husband Michael and Mandy Bennett and husband Brian; two great-grandchildren, Lilah Estis and Nolan McAnally; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received until 11 a.m., the time of service, Monday, December 9, in Mariscotti Funeral Home Inc., Anthony N. Mariscotti, supervisor, 323 Fourth Street, California, with Pastor Doug Quail officiating. Interment will follow in Phillipsburg Cemetery, California.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to Daisytown Presbyterian Church, 19 Church Street, Daisytown, PA 15427.
