Charles P. Farulli
Devoted husband, father and grandfather
Charles P. Farulli, 70, of Burgettstown, went home to spend Christmas with Jesus Wednesday, December 18, 2013.
He was born April 19, 1943, in Pittsburgh, a son of the late Vance and Mary Suder Farulli.
Mr. Farulli was a steelworker, retiring from Washington Steel after 30 years of service.
He was a 1961 graduate of Burgettstown (Union) High School and attended California College.
Mr. Farulli was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic Church in Burgettstown and Steelworkers Organization of Active Retirees.
He loved reading, sports, fishing, hunting, The Meadows Racetrack & Casino, traveling and “malling” in many shopping centers in the United States. He also enjoyed going to the grocery store and maintaining his vehicles. His most important priority in life was always his family, as he was a devoted husband, father and grandfather.
On September 14, 1963, he married Linda Lou Dunay, who died July 4, 2012.
Surviving are a daughter, Andrea L. (David) Alex of Weirton, W.Va.; a son, Charles P. (Jeannine) Farulli Jr. of Newport News, Va.; a grandson, Vincent Farulli of Newport News; two stepgrandchildren, Hannah and Tyler Pollock; and two sisters, Roseanne Farulli of Burgettstown and Mary Margaret “Mimi” Madden of Weirton.
Deceased, in addition to his parents and his wife, is an infant brother, Vincent.
Friends will be received from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday in Taucher Funeral Home, 23 Erie Mine Road, Burgettstown. A Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, December 21, in Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Burgettstown, with the Rev. George Moneck, pastor, as celebrant. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
