Lucretia Pester, 88, of Waynesburg, died Saturday, December 21, 2013, in Donnell House, Washington.
She was born April 20, 1925, in Holbrook, a daughter of the late Jesse and Lydia Galloway Anderson.
She was married to James Pester, who died in 1977.
Mrs. Pester worked at Waynesburg Restaurant for 28 years. She was a lifetime resident of Waynesburg, where she was a member of First Church of the Nazarene.
Surviving are a daughter, Mary Pester of Waynesburg, with whom she made her home; a son, James Pester Jr. of Waynesburg; four grandchildren, Patrick Kelley, Debbie Pester, Amy Smith and Ethan Smith; five great-grandchildren; and a brother, Willis Anderson of North Carolina.
Deceased are a daughter, Diane Kelley; seven brothers, Orville, John, Ross, Perry, Henry, Allen and Elmer Anderson; and four sisters, Lucretia Poland, Mary Iams, Elizabeth Loucks and Fannie Anderson.
Friends will be received from 10 to 11 a.m., the hour of services, Thursday, December 26, in Behm Funeral Homes Inc., 182 West High Street, Waynesburg, with the Rev. John Poling officiating. Interment will follow in Smith Cemetery, Waynesburg. Condolences may be offered at www.behmfh.com.
