Nicholas J. Bockovich, 82, of Dunnellon, Fla., formerly of Eighty Four, died Friday, December 27, 2013. in Ocala, Fla.
He was born September 16, 1931, in Litchfield, Ill., a son of the late Steve and Mary Bockovich.
Mr. Bockovich had served with the U.S. Navy. He was a graduate of Indiana Tech.
Prior to retirement, he was a sales representative for Keer Engineering and Sales.
He was a Florida resident since 2000.
Mr. Bockovich was a former member of St. Patrick Church of Canonsburg. He was a proud member of Croatian Fraternal Union Lodge 354 of Cokeburg.
He enjoyed Croatian music and was an avid Chicago Cubs fan.
His wife, Joyce Marie Glor Bockovich, died May 13, 1999.
Surviving are four sons, Eric Bookmiller (Marge) of Norwich, Conn., Roy Bookmiller (Mur) of Sylvania, Ohio, Robert Bookmiller (Rae) of Finleyville and Nicholas Bockovich Jr. of Dunnellon; two daughters, Susan Boczar of Winchester, Va., and Mary Bockovich of Canonsburg; 12 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and seven nieces and a nephew.
Deceased are a brother, Steve Bockovich; a sister, Mildred Bockovich; and a granddaughter, Amy Bookmiller.
Friends will be received from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday in Sollon Funeral Home Ltd., 30 East College Street, Canonsburg, J. David Sollon, supervisor, Phillip L. Sollon, director, where departing prayers will be at 9:30 a.m. Monday, December 30, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Patrick Church.Interment will follow in the Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Peters Township.
