Anna Catherine Lindner Truax
Anna Catherine Lindner Truax, 89, of Friendship Village, Upper St. Clair, died Thursday, January 31, 2013.
She was born in Pittsburgh’s North Side on the “hill” near Oliver High School. She graduated from Oliver at 17 and started her business career at Clark Candy Co. She ended her career as an office manager of a freight-forwarding company.
She married Dave Truax August 15, 1953.
In addition to herself, she brought to Mr. Truax a wonderful family, her parents, Annie Scott Lindner and John Lindner, both deceased, and siblings Marg Lindner Kruhm, Jean Lindner Bishop, Andy Lindner, deceased, and Bill Lindner and wife Mitzi. In no particular order, she had nieces and nephews, Bill Kruhm, deceased, Jim Kruhm, Karen Kruhm Stevans, Andy Lindner, Norb Lindner, Suzy Lindner Wilson and Julie Lindner Klupecs.
She accepted graciously Mr. Traux’s siblings, Harriett and Stella, deceased, Chester, EJ and Winnifred.
Her husband expressed this sentiment upon her death: Oh, what a wonderful day she entered my life, what a sad day when she left it.
Funeral arrangements are being handled by Beinhauer Funeral Home, 724-941-3211. Friends are welcome from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at 2828 Washington Road, McMurray, where services will begin at 2 p.m. Sunday, February 3, with a luncheon to follow.
