Floyd Clifford Melone, 81, of Washington, died Wednesday, January 30, 2013.

He was born September 17, 1931, a son of Raymond and Wenona Gary Melone.

Mr. Melone served in the U.S. Navy and was a driver for Suwak Trucking prior to his retirement.

He was a longtime member of Washington Country Club. He enjoyed playing golf with his friends.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Joanne Seibel Melone.

Also surviving are two daughters, Debbie Melone Hanes (Bob) of Hickory and Christy Melone Paddick (Thomas) of Jefferson Hills, and a son, Mark Melone of Washington.

Mr. Melone had three granddaughters, Lauren Paddick, Jordan Paddick and Isabella Hudgkin, and three sisters, Geraldine Smith, Marjorie Smagner and Rose Morgan.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Lisa Anne Melone, and a sister, Grace Melone, both of whom died in infancy.

A private graveside service will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association.
