Frances Marie Pagac
Frances M. Pagac, 94, of Richeyville, died peacefully Thursday, January 31, 2013, with her family at her side.
She was born August 9, 1918, in Crescent Heights, a daughter of the late Dominic and Helena Ozellis Hausher.
She and Frank B. Pagac met at Rosefield Skating Rink in Richeyville in 1936. A courtship ensued, and they were united in marriage January 30, 1937, in St. Michael Roman Catholic Church, Fredericktown.
Mrs. Pagac was a resident of Richeyville since 1937. She lived in house 266 until she and her husband purchased the Blue Diamond Bar and Grill in 1952. Together, they ran the business for more than 50 years.
She was considered the “matriarch of Richeyville.”
Mrs. Pagac was a woman ahead of her time. She drove a big Chevy dump truck with a 22-foot wheel base and standard transmission, when women of that time did not even drive. She will always be remembered for her kind ways and generous hospitality.

Wieden and Frederick Landon Pagac. Also surviving are a brother, Howard “Lenny” Hausher (Marge); sister-in-law Toots Pagac; brothers-in-law Andy Pagac (Roberta) and Eddie Pagac; and many nieces and nephews.
