George W. Walton, 72, of Carmichaels, died suddenly Sunday, February 3, 2013, in his home.
Mr. Walton was born June 2, 1940, in Pittsburgh, a son of the late George J. and Ann Bier Walton.
He was a retired businessman from Dormont.
Mr. Walton was the beloved husband of Barbara Sipe Walton, whom he married September 4, 1961; loving father of Kelly D’Ortone and husband Ken of Springfield, Rebecca Walton and husband Jean-Christophe Giron of Minneapolis, Minn., Dr. G. Charles Walton of New Haven, Conn., and Lee Ann Seung Walton of New York City, N.Y.; grandfather of Jessica D’Ortone, Alice Gineste-Walton, Chelsea D’Ortone and Maya Giron; and brother of Mary Virginia Walton of Hilton Head, S.C.
Two sisters, Margaret Bonoski and Terry Jean Walton, are deceased.
He enjoyed gardening and woodworking.
Mr. Walton was a member of St. Hugh Church, Friends of Flenniken Library and John A. Brashear Lodge Number 743 Free and Accepted Masons.
Friends will be received from 5 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday, February 7, in Lesako Funeral Home Inc., 204 Dowlin Avenue, Carmichaels, 724-966-5100, Paul M. Lesako, owner/funeral director/supervisor. A blessing service will begin at 11 a.m. Thursday in the funeral home chapel, with the Rev. John Bauer officiating.
