Sharon L. Gloyd, 68, of Eighty Four, died Sunday, February 3, 2013, in Canonsburg General Hospital.

She was born May 23, 1944, in Fairmont, W.Va., a daughter of the late Harlen Jesse and Geraldine Truman Rice.

Mrs. Gloyd was Methodist.

She was a graduate of East Fairmont High School and had worked as a bottle inspector with Owens-Illinois Glass Works in Fairmont.

Mrs. Gloyd was a member of Women of the Moose Chapter 1311 in Berkeley Springs, W.Va.

She enjoyed reading and flower gardening and was devoted to her grandchildren.

Surviving are her husband of 46 and a half years, Robert William Gloyd at home; a daughter, Michelle Lee Lilley Hovermale of Bentleyville; two grandchildren, Cyanna Jeanae Lilley and Colten Tyler Hovermale, both of Bentleyville; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, deceased are two infant sisters, Carol Rice and Wilma Jean Rice, and two brothers, Donald and Russell Rice.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 95 Union Street, Berkeley Springs, W.Va. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, February 7, in the funeral home, with Pastor Dave Kidwell officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery in Orleans Crossroads, W.Va.
