Anna Jenkins Windsheimer
Anna Jenkins Windsheimer, 88, of Canonsburg, formerly of McDonald, died Friday, February 8, 2013, in ManorCare.
She was born October 7, 1924, in McDonald, a daughter of William and Sara Jenkins.
Mrs. Windsheimer graduated from Cecil High School in 1943.
Prior to retirement, she worked as a dispatcher for the Motor Pool of the U.S. Army 911th in Oakdale.
She was a resident of Canonsburg since 1989 and previously lived in McDonald and was member of First Presbyterian Church of McDonald.
Her husband, Edward H. Windsheimer, died February 14, 2001.
Surviving are a son, Eddy Windsheimer, with whom she made her home; a grandson, Ian Windsheimer of Canonsburg; and several nieces and nephews.
She was the last of her immediate family.
Deceased are a brother, William Jenkins; and four sisters, Edda Robson, Maurine Braun, Gaynol Harouse and Carol Roepe.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday in Sollon Funeral Home Ltd., 30 East College Street, Canonsburg, J. David Sollon, supervisor, Phillip L. Sollon, director, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, February 11. Interment will follow in Robinson Run Cemetery, McDonald.
