Jesse J. Manning, 84, of Finleyville, died Sunday, February 10, 2013, in his home.
He was born February 24, 1928, in Monongahela, a son of Jesse A. and Nellie Cox Manning.
Mr. Manning was retired as a mechanic for Port Authority of Allegheny County.
He was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Finleyville, a life member of Finleyville Volunteer Fire Department and a member and former sergeant at arms for Washington County Firemen’s Association.
Surviving are a son, William “Bill” Manning and wife Ruth Demski Manning; a grandson, Joey Manning; and several nieces and nephews.
His wife, Stella Lycett Manning, died in October 2000.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in Kegel Funeral Home Inc., Tim P. Kegel, supervisor, 3560 Washington Avenue, Finleyville, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, February 13, with Pastor Kevin Young officiating. Internment will follow in Monongahela Cemetery. Finleyville Fire Department will conduct services at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home.
