Davie Lee McCoy, beloved uncle, 81, of Daybrook, W.Va., died Saturday, February 9, 2013, in Sundale Nursing Home, Morgantown, W.Va.
He was born April 2, 1931, in Daybrook, a son of the late Paul E. McCoy and Mary D. Acklin McCoy.
Mr. McCoy was retired from General Motors. He worked for the car manufacturer for 30 years and retired in 1985.
He was a U.S. Air Force veteran.
Surviving are 13 nieces and nephews and their spouses, Robert Gum and wife Denise of Ohio, Larry Gum and wife Patty of the state of Indiana, Roger Gum and wife Carla of the state of Indiana, Ann Bailey and husband Randy of Ohio, Jean Yeaples and husband Rick of Ohio, Bill Gum of Ohio, Cathy Gajoch and husband John of Ohio, Debbie Farnsworth and husband Glen of Ohio, Deanna Brookover and husband John of Brave, Sharon Eddy and husband Kerry of Brave, Janet Ellis and husband George of Spraggs, Dottie Yoho and husband Clarence of Daybrook and Keith McCoy of Daybrook; and a sister-in-law, Donna McCoy Eisentrout of Daybrook.
Deceased, in addition to his parents, are a brother, Danny McCoy; and three sisters, Norma Jean Foley, Kathryn Gum and an infant sister, Evelyn McCoy.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in Owen-Neely Funeral Home, Blacksville, W.Va., where services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, February 13, with the Rev.
