Dorothy LaBella
Dorothy LaBella, 86, of Muse, passed away Saturday, February 9, 2013, in Washington County Heath Center, Chartiers Township, following a brief illness.
She was born in Jermyn, Lackawanna County, a daughter of the late Michael Danyo and Mary Lopatra Danyo Oluich.
Mrs. LaBella was a homemaker and Orthodox.
She had been employed as a group leader at the former RCA plant in Canonsburg and, prior to her retirement, was employed at the Dollar Tree in Bridgeville.
Mrs. LaBella lived in McDonald for many years before returning to Muse in February 2006. She loved to bake and enjoyed working in her garden with her husband, working puzzle books and crocheting.
On January 7, 1945, she married Russell LaBella, who died April 23, 2005.
Surviving are a daughter, Sandra Rossaro; two grandsons, Russell Rossaro and Christopher (Melissa) Rossaro; a great-granddaughter, Briana; two sisters, Olga (Joseph) Mikus of McMurray and Sophia “Bunnie” (Carl) Stopperich of Houston; a brother, Michael Oluich of McMurray; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased, in addition to her husband and parents, are two brothers, Edward Danyo, who died September 3, 2011, and William Danyo, who died March 21, 2012; a sister, Eva Danyo, who died at birth; her stepfather, Marko Oluich, who died July 19, 1990; and two stepbrothers, Eli and Steve Oluich.
At the request of the deceased, there will be no public visitation or services. Private visitation and services will be held in Salandra Funeral Services Inc., Joseph P.
