Michael Walter Rozmus

Michael Walter Rozmus, 80, of Slovan, died Saturday, February 9, 2013, in his home.

He was born September 18, 1932, in Slovan, a son of the late Matthew and Frances Bonk Rozmus.

Mr. Rozmus was employed by Langeloth Metalurgical, for 35 years, until his retirement.

He was a U.S. Navy veteran during the Korean War and a member of Slovan Veterans of Foreign Wars.

Mr. Rozmus was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic Church in Burgettstown, Knights of Columbus 3440 and SNPJ 106.

He enjoyed polka dancing and golf but most especially enjoyed spending time with his family.

On June 14, 1958, he married Theresa Dvorsak, who survives.

Also surviving are a son, Michael (Susan) Rozmus of Harrisonburg, Va.; two granddaughters, Sara and Angela Rozmus; three sisters, Julia Sray of Bridgeville, Josephine Pirinak of Ambridge and Helen Cherok of Cross Creek; two brothers, Stanley Rozmus of Atlasburg and Joseph Rozmus of Burgettstown; and many nieces and nephews.

Deceased are three sisters, Pauline Wysocki, Mary Czarnieki and Louise Yakima; and two brothers, John and Frank Rozmus.

At the request of the deceased, there will be no visitation. A memorial mass will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, February 15, in Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Burgettstown, with the Rev. George Moneck and the Rev. Robert Connolly, as cocelebrants. Inurnment will be in Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery, Burgettstown. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 1109 Main Street, Burgettstown, PA 15021.
