Victoria A. Mance Morrell

Victoria A. “Vickie” Mance Morrell, 60, of Ellsworth, died Monday evening, February 11, 2013, in UPMC-Shadyside hospital, Pittsburgh.

She was born April 28, 1952, in Washington, a daughter of the late Michael “Meah” and Helen Blostic Mance.

Mrs. Morrell attended the former St. Clements School in Ellsworth and was a 1970 graduate of Bentworth High School. She later received her bachelor of science degree from California University of Pennsylvania.

She was employed as a secretary for Royal Hydraulics in Cokeburg. She formerly worked for J.C. Penney in Washington.

Mrs. Morrell was a member of St. Hilary Church in Washington.

On June 21, 1980, at the former St. Joseph Church in Cokeburg, she married Gary L. Morrell, who survives.

Also surviving are a son, Gregory L. Morrell of Ellsworth; a brother, Michael J. Mance (Judi) of Cokeburg; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, George and Ruth Ann Morrell of Scenery Hill; and several nieces and nephews.

There will be no visitation. Family and friends are welcome to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Thursday, February 14, in St. Hilary Church, Washington, with the Rev. Thomas O’Neil and the Rev. Leonard Blostic as co-celebrants. Interment will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Monongahela. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to American Cancer Society/PA Division, 320 Bilmar Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15205; or Catholic Charities, 212 Ninth Street, #1000, Pittsburgh, PA 15222.
