Bartholomew Bernard Piccardo

Bartholomew Bernard Piccardo, 75, passed away peacefully Saturday, February 9, 2013. A resident of Washington, he also resided in Ormond Beach, Fla., after retirement.

He was born November 28, 1937, in Pittsburgh, a son of the late Regis and Margaret Piccardo.

Mr. Piccardo married the love of his life September 24, 1960, the late Patricia Piccardo.

Surviving are two loving daughters, Lisa and son-in-law Dwayne Coneeny of East Dover, Vt., and Robin and son-in-law Ted Grimm of Washington; his adored grandsons, Shawn Patrick Grimm and Tyler Shane Grimm, both of Washington; a sister, Louella Barno of Elizabeth; and several nieces and nephews.

He also leaves his granddogs, Sierra, Bandit, Roxy and Waylynn.

Mr. Piccardo was a U.S. Marine veteran and served during the Korean War.

He loved to hunt and fish and was a talented billiards player and ballroom dancer. Most of all, he cherished spending time with his grandsons, Shawn and Tyler.

Mr. Piccardo will be sadly missed by his family and friends.

Family and friends are welcome to gather from 9 a.m. until the time of memorial service at 10 a.m. Friday, March 29, at Cremation & Funeral Care by Danielle Andy Belusko, 3287 Washington Road, McMurray, 724-260-5546. A funeral procession will follow to National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Cecil Township, where a graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. with full military honors.
