Adora Jean Kelly

Adora Jean “DoDo” Kelly, 81, of Monongahela, Foward Township, died unexpectedly Thursday, February 14, 2013, in Monongahela Valley Hospital.

She was born September 29, 1931, in New Eagle, a daughter of Alfred Pellegrini and Lenzina Lenzi Rapp and stepdaughter of Andrew Rapp.

Mrs. Kelly was a graduate of Monongahela High School.

Since 1950, she and her husband, Fred, owned and operated Rapp’s Restaurant and Bar in Forward Township. Mrs. Kelly’s work ethic was very strong and it was not unusual for her to work from morning until night. She was well known throughout the area for her Italian cuisine, especially her ravioli.

When she had time to spare, she enjoying playing bingo.

Surviving are a son, Andrew P. Kelly and wife Eva of Forward Township; grandson Bryan Drew Kelly of Forward Township; granddaughter Lisa O’Malley of Pleasant Hills; and two great-grandsons, Aydan and Nolan O’Malley.

In addition to her parents, deceased is her husband, Fred Kelly, who died February 27, 2004.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in Frye Funeral Home Inc., 427 West Main Street, Monongahela, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, February 18, with the Rev. William Bailey officiating. Interment will follow in Monongahela Cemetery. Condolences may be made to the family at www.fryefuneralhome.com.
