Jacqueline Lee Ward
Jacqueline Lee “Jackie” Ward, 71, formerly of Pennsylvania, passed away Sunday, February 10, 2013, in Dallas, Texas, where she resided with daughter Shelly and granddaughter Jordan.
She was born February 3, 1942, in Washington, a daughter of the late George and Mary Lauderbaugh Ward.
A longtime Steelers and WWE fan, she was an avid reader who enjoyed art, music, the taste of a good cup of Starbucks coffee, her Sunday newspaper and life near a Texas ranch with many animals and great sunsets.
Ms. Ward was a loving mother and grandmother.
Surviving are four daughters, Gloria Heinen of Florida, Vicki Martin of Texas, Tracey (Earl) Gilpin of Pennsylvania, Shelly Heinen of Texas; seven grandchildren, Christy Mejicanos, Dawn Merigo, Stephanie Merigo, Jordan Heinen, Amber Leach, Brittany and Tyler Gilpin; and two great-grandchildren, Mariana and Christopher Mejicanos; six siblings, Judy Ward Chappel, George Ward, Cheryl Lauderbaugh Henry, Allison Ward, Jim Ward and Mary Ward Kubacki.
Deceased is a brother, Stevan Poger.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, February 22, in The Bible Chapel, McMurray, with Pastor Tom Rojahn officiating, followed by a celebration of her life. Friends and family are welcome. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude’s Hospital or the American Cancer Society.
