Eugene W. Noble, 79, of Beallsville, died unexpectedly Sunday, February 17, 2013, in his home.
He was born August 30, 1933, in Beallsville, a son of the late Levi C. and Josephine Weaver Noble.
Mr. Noble was a 1951 graduate of Ellsworth High School.
From 1953 to 1955, he served with the U.S. Army.
He was a former agent for Metropolitan Insurance Co. and was previously employed by Penn-Birmingham Bolt Co., Nemacolin Country Club and Royal Hydraulics.
Mr. Noble was a member of Beallsville United Methodist Church, Hancock-McCune-Horne American Legion Post 705 and Beallsville Civic Association and was a life member of Richeyville Volunteer Fire Company.
On August 21, 1976, he married Wilma “Sug” Grechowsky, who survives.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are five sisters, Betty Amos of Washington, Earlene Mikolay of Zelienople, Doris (Butch) Marinkovich of Beallsville, Eleanor Moore of Largo, Fla., and Evelyn Gatten of Tavares, Fla.; two brothers, Robert Noble of Nashville, Tenn., and Harry Sumner of Allison; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased, in addition to his parents, are several brothers and sisters.
Friends will be received from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., the hour of services, Wednesday, February 20, in John B. Greenlee Funeral Home, 2830 Main Street, Beallsville, with the Rev. Gary Gregg officiating. Interment will be in Beallsville Cemetery. Military rites will be accorded by Hancock-McCune-Horne American Legion Post 705, Centerville. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to Richeyville Volunteer Fire Company, P.O. Box L, Richeyville, PA 15358.
