Beatrice M. Barnhart Ankrom, 80, of Carmichaels, died at 6:30 p.m. Monday, February 18, 2013, in Golden Living Center, Waynesburg.

She was born Friday, September 9, 1932, in Rutan, a daughter of the late John T. Smith and Lucretia Inghram Smith.

Mrs. Ankrom was a member of Mt. Herman Baptist Church.

She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, puzzles and playing cards.

Mrs. Ankrom worked as a cook at the former Chicken House Restaurant in Waynesburg and Reesman’s Dairy Delite in Fredericktown. She also was a homemaker.

Her first husband, Shirl K. Barnhart, whom she married September 6, 1951, died February 25, 1983.

Her second husband, Robert G. Ankrom, whom she married June 12, 1986, died November 4, 1997.

Surviving are five sons, Shirl (Jane) Barnhart of Jefferson, Duncan E. (Candice) Barnhart of Carmichaels, William W. (Mary) Barnhart of Carmichaels, John R.(Merri Lu) Ankrom of Waynesburg and David G. (Kimberly) Ankrom of Boyertown; a daughter, Elizabeth (Phil) Amos of Jackson, N.J.; daughter-in-law Janice Buckingham of Claysville; 14 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren; sister Johnella Cappelli of Charleroi; brother Joseph S. Smith of Landis, N.C.; and several nieces and nephews.

Deceased are two sons, John William Barnhart, who died in infancy, and Phillip Buckingham.

Friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday in Milliken and Throckmorton Funeral Home Inc., Daryl L. Throckmorton, owner/director, 197 North Maiden Street, Waynesburg, where services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, February 22, with the Rev. Dave Decker officiating. Mary Christine Bedillion, 77, of Washington, died Monday, February 18, 2013, in Kade Nursing and Rehabilitation, Canton Township.

She was born December 25, 1935, in Washington, a daughter of Cecil and Clara Hamilton Ewart.

Mrs. Bedillion worked as a server for 30 years, first at Julia’s and then at Peppino’s.

She loved to play bingo and enjoyed crafts and embroidery.

Surviving are three sons, Richard “Chubby” Bedillion of Washington and Gary and Chuck Bedillion of Kentucky; two daughters, Paula Marshman and Linda Gray, both of Washington; a sister, Shirley Clark of Melbourne, Fla.; five grandchildren, Derek, Christopher, Jason, Tyler and Tristan; three great-grandchildren, Stephanie, Danny and Shelby; and a cousin, Betty Hickman of Washington.

Deceased are her husband, Richard “Rawhide” Bedillion, and a brother, John Ewart.

A memorial visitation will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Thursday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington.

Tristyn Alexander Brewer, infant son of Karissa Leahann Brewer of Waynesburg, died Friday, February 15, 2013, in Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC, because of a congenital health issue from birth.

He was born November 29, 2012, in Pittsburgh.

Surviving, in addition to his mother, are two brothers, Brayden Brewer and Ethan Gibbs; maternal grandparents, Sally McDonald, companion of Robert Peterson of Derry and Bruce, husband of Patricia Brewer of Morgantown, W.Va.

Marion “Libby” Eshbaugh, 78, of Washington, died Sunday, February 17, 2013, in Washington Hospital.

She was born August 28, 1934, in Mississippi.

Mrs. Eshbaugh was a member of Fairhill Manor Christian Church.

She was a high school graduate and received her nursing degree. She was employed for many years as a registered nurse at Sewickley, Ohio Valley and Allegheny General hospitals.

Mrs. Eshbaugh enjoyed quilting, decorating the house and loved going to antique shops and traveling with her husband.

She married the Rev. Howard Eshbaugh, who died in 1999.

Surviving are a son, John M. Eshbaugh of Washington; two grandchildren, Ian Eshbaugh of Pittsburgh and Katelyn Eshbaugh of Washington.

Deceased are two brothers.

Friends will be received from 10 a.m. to noon Wednesday, February 20, in Warco-Falvo Funeral Home Inc., Wilson at East Katherine avenues, Washington, S. Timothy Warco, supervisor/director, Susan Falvo Warco, director, S. Timothy Warco II, director. A service will be held at noon Wednesday in the funeral home, with the Rev. Michael Lehman officiating. Edward C. Hutter Sr., 88, of Washington, went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, February 19, 2013, in his home.

He was born April 22, 1924, in Washington, a son of the late John Harrison Hutter and Mary Margaret Woods-Hutter.

Mr. Hutter was a member of Trinity Bible Fellowship in Washington.

A World War II veteran, he served in the 101st U.S. Airborne Division and fought in the Battle of Normandy.

Mr. Hutter worked at Pennsylvania Transformer for 20 years and for Washington County for eight years.

On June 7, 1954, he married the love of his life, Ethel Marie Klein, who survives.

He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather and will be sadly missed by his family.

Surviving, in addition to his wife, are five children, Roy Hutter of Ohio, Joyce (Dennis) Holman of Washington, Edward (Joyce) Hutter Jr. of Pittsburgh, Patsy (Anthony) Forman of Washington and Robyn (John) Dodworth of Canonsburg; seven grandchildren, Lesley Howard and Scott Hutter of Ohio, Tiffany (Matthew) Ewig and T.J. Petrola of Washington, John Dodworth Jr. of Canonsburg and Denylle Baller and Kristina Holman of Wheeling, W.Va.; seven great-grandchildren, Lindsey Howard and Jake Howard of Ohio, Alexis Ewig, Blake Ewig and Grady Ewig of Washington, and Evan Baller and Josie Dunaway of Wheeling; great-great-grandchild, Lilliana Howard of Ohio; a sister, Agnes Kissner of Ohio; and many nieces and nephews.

He was the last male sibling of his family’s 13 children.

Ruth Ann “Ricki” Lane, 52, of Aliquippa, passed away Monday, February 18, 2013.

She was born March 28, 1960, in Washington, a daughter of Andrew “Rip” and Cora Mae Martin Roman.

Mrs. Lane was a graduate of Burgettstown Junior/Senior High School. She also was a graduate of Computer Tech and CCBC.

Karaoke was her passion, and she was co-owner of Southern Star Karaoke.

In addition to her parents, surviving are her husband, David Lane; a daughter, Aubrea Hall; a brother, John Roman; three sisters, Pamela Dotter, Paula Gallagher and Melinda Davison; and numerous extended family members, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Martha Ann Long, 70, of Garards Fort, died Monday, February 18, 2013, in her home.

She was born October 24, 1942, in Waynesburg, a daughter of the late Wayne and Dorothy Roberts Zimmerman.

Her first husband, Floyd E. Huff, is deceased. She later married James Henry Long, who survives.

Mrs. Long worked as a certified nursing assistant at Parkhurst Manor in Morristown, Tenn.

She was a former resident of Youngstown, Ohio, and Morristown.

Surviving are two sons, Larry R. Huff (Susan) of Gaston, S.C., and Floyd Huff Jr. (Candy) of Waynesburg; daughter Tina Huff (Bill Brown) of Garards Fort; 16 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Richard Zimmerman of Warren, Ohio.

Deceased are a great-grandson, Alexander Simmons; five brothers, Charles, Billy, Arleigh, Frank and Francis Zimmerman Sr.; and a sister, Betty Wise.

Friends will be received from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., the time of services, Friday, February 22, in Behm Funeral Homes Inc., 182 West High Street, Waynesburg, with Pastor Mike Brown officiating, followed by interment in Bethlehem Cemetery. Eleanor Eva Mungai Mazzie, 88, of Washington, died Tuesday, February 19, 2013, in Center for Compassionate Care, Pittsburgh.

She was born April 21, 1924, in Library, a daughter of Alphonso and Olida Pancani Mungai.

Mrs. Mazzie was a graduate of Union High School and Penn Commercial.

She worked primarily in bookkeeping and accounting. Her employers included Jack Hart Men’s Store, J.C.Penney’s, the Social Security Administration and Washington School District, where she worked as a teacher’s aide. She also worked at a local steel factory in accounting.

Mrs. Mazzie was a member of Immaculate Conception Church and its Christian Mothers, Democratic Women and Vittoria Lodge of Italian Sons and Daughters of America, where she was serving as president at the time of her death. She was a longtime Girl Scout leader and member of Catholic Daughters of America.

On October 17, 1954, she married Joseph C. Mazzie, who died September 22, 1966.

Surviving are two daughters, Catherine Mazzie (John) Witsberger of Eighty Four and Deborah Mazzie (Allen) Lages of Peters Township; and five grandchildren, Elise Clare, Jonathan Joseph and Anna Catherine Witsberger and Elena Kathryn and Anthony Michael Lages.

Deceased are two brothers, Charles and Nello Mungai.

Friends will be received from 2 to 5 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, February 23, in Immaculate Conception Church, Washington. Burial will follow in Washington Cemetery.

Gayle Popielarczyk, 65, of Vestaburg, died Monday, February 18, 2013, in Washington Hospital.

Shane Richard Robison, 32, of Nemacolin, went home to be with the Lord Monday, February 18, 2013.

He was born July 12, 1980, in Monongahela, a son of Richard A. and Barbara L. Zalom Robison of Speers Hill.

Mr. Robison was a 1999 graduate of Charleroi High School.

He worked as a steelworker at Edgar Thompson Steel Works in Braddock.

Mr. Robison was a member of the United Steel Workers of America Local 1219, Sons of the American Legion Post 705, Centerville, and Nemacolin Citizens Club.

On January 16, 2009, he married Sheila Baker, who survives.

Also surviving, in addition to his parents and wife, are two children, Craig Johnson and fiancée Siara of Carmichaels and AyreL Johnson of Nemacolin; a grandson, Hunter; two sisters, Rebecca Dunn and husband Mike of Centerville and Stacey Lacey and husband Robert of Centerville; a brother, Christopher Robison and wife Tammy of Monongahela; several nieces and nephews; father and mother-in-law, Glenn “Sonny” and Shirley Tennant of Waynesburg; and two sisters-in-law, Tammy Coles and husband Bob of Jefferson and Kim Burrows and husband Bill of West Alexander.
