Gabriella R. Cappelli
Gabriella R. Cappelli, 81, of Washington, died Thursday, February 21, 2013, in her home, following a lengthy illness.
She was born June 21, 1931, in Munhall, a daughter of the late John and Elizabeth Hozdovich Roba.
Mrs. Cappelli was a graduate of Munhall High School and a 1953 graduate of University of Pittsburgh School of Pharmacy.
She was a member of St. Hilary Roman Catholic Church in Washington.
Mrs. Cappelli had worked as a pharmacist at Viehmann’s Pharmacy for many years and at Greene County Memorial Hospital.
She was a member of Lone Pine Golf Club, Washington Country Club, Women’s Golf Association of Western Pennsylvania for many years and Lambda Kappa Sigma Professional Pharmacy Sorority.
On June 25, 1957, she married Raymond M. Cappelli Sr., who survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Raymond M. Cappelli Jr. of Canonsburg and James (Suzanne) Cappelli of Washington; two daughters, Carolyn (Dennis) Cappelli Schwerzler of Woodstock, Ga., and Lesley Ann Cappelli of Burnsville, Minn.; a brother, Ted Ondocsin of Plano, Texas; a sister, Elvira Patton of Ocala, Fla.; seven grandchildren, Carly Ray and R. Michael Cappelli, Patrick and Sydney Sweeny and Natalie, Alanya and Claudia Cappelli; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday and 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday, February 25, in St. Hilary Roman Catholic Church, Washington, with Father Thomas O’Neil as celebrant. Entombment will follow in Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Peters Township.
