Stewart Chambers Jr., 80, of Concord Township, Ohio, died Sunday, February 24, 2013, in his home.
Born October 4, 1932, in Canonsburg, he was a longtime Lake County, Ohio, resident.
Mr. Chambers was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran, having served during the Korean conflict as a sergeant.
He was an avid golfer, having scored a hole-in-one twice on the same hole at Blackbrook Country Club, Mentor, Ohio.
Mr. Chambers was a member of Collinwood Lodge 582 F&AM and Scottish Rite Valley, Cleveland, Ohio.
He was employed as a manufacturing engineer at the former Fisher Body Division of General Motors in Cleveland. He retired after 32 years of service.
Surviving are his wife of 55 years, Shelby Long Chambers; children Diane (Richard) Turk of Willowick, Ohio, Debby (Carl) Roloff of Lakewood, Ohio, and Stewart (Susan) Chambers III of Eastlake, Ohio; grandchildren Richard (Jen), Melissa and Jessica; great-grandson Mason; siblings Robert, Barbara, Garnet, Roger, Jerry, Alice and Linda; and many nieces and nephews and their families.
Also surviving is his four-legged companion, Queenie.
His parents, Stewart Sr. and Ada Chambers, and sister Kathy are deceased.
