Mary Ann Penvose, 76, of Meadow Lands, died Tuesday, February 26, 2013, in Donnell House, Washington, surrounded by her family.

She was born July 24, 1936, in Meadow Lands, a daughter of the late Steve and Mary Katherine Wegh Swamp.

Mrs. Penvose had worked at Houston banks for many years, retiring in 1998 from National City.

She was a member of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Church in Meadow Lands and its Christian Mothers and Guild.

Mrs. Penvose was involved with many civic and social activities.

On October 11, 1952, she married Norman E. Penvose, who died March 13, 1989.

Surviving are a daughter, Bonnie Frameli and husband Ken of Rices Landing; two grandchildren, Ashley and Ryan Greene; a son-in-law, Corwyn Greene of Houston; a brother, Kenneth Swamp of Meadow Lands; and many nieces and nephews.

Deceased are a daughter, Sandie Greene, and a brother, Henry Swamp.

Friends will be received from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday in McIlvaine-Speakman Funeral Home Ltd., Robert K. McIlvaine, owner/supervisor, 27 Cherry Avenue, Houston, PA 15342. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 2, in Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Church, Meadow Lands. Interment will be private. Everyone is asked to meet at the church.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to American Cancer Society, 331 South Main Street, Washington, PA 15301, or Donnell House, c/o Hospice Care of The Washington Hospital, 155 Wilson Avenue, Washington, PA 15301.
