William M. Jorn
William M. Jorn, 75, of Center Township, Beaver County, passed away Thursday, February 21, 2013, in Heritage Valley Hospital, Sewickley.
He was born May 17, 1937, in Bulger, a son of the late William H. and Helen Freshwater Jorn.
Mr. Jorn was a retired foreman from the tin plate division of LTV Steel with 41 years of service. After his retirement, he worked part time for Avis Rental Car at Pittsburgh International Airport.
He was a member of Mt. Carmel Presbyterian Church in Aliquippa.
Mr. Jorn served in the U.S. Air Force at the U.S. Air Force Academy in Denver, Colo.
Surviving are his wife of 55 years, Dorothy S. (Swanik) Jorn; a son, William Jorn of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; a daughter, Carol Jorn of Shreveport, La.; two grandchildren, Ashley and Mariah Wilson; a great-granddaughter, Nayila Harris; and a brother and sister-in-law, Carl and Patricia Jorn of Washington.
Deceased, in addition to his parents, is a grandson, Kenneth Wilson Jr.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday in Tatalovich Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., 3475 Brodhead Road, Center Township, Monaca, PA 15061, www.tatatalovichfuneralhome.com, where the Beaver County Special Unit will conduct full military honors at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 2, followed by a service officiated by his pastor, the Rev. Mike Anastas. Private interment will take place in National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Cecil Township.
