Margaret M. Ullom
Margaret M. Ullom, 78, of Waynesburg, died Saturday, January 5, 2013, in her home.
She was born April 1, 1934, in Carmichaels, a daughter of the late James and Daisy Irene Tewell Stickles.
Mrs. Ullom was a graduate of Latimer High School in Pittsburgh.
On January 5, 1952, she married Herbert A. Ullom, who died August 7, 2004. She passed away on their 61st wedding anniversary.
She was employed as a bus driver for 38 years. At the time of her death, she was employed by Kings Transit, and she previously drove for Dulaney Bus service.
Mrs. Ullom was a member of First Christian Church of Waynesburg for 64 years, where she taught Sunday school for 39 years. She was a life member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary in Waynesburg.
Surviving are a son, Danny Lee Ullom (Becky) of Waynesburg; a daughter, Brenda Ullom Pikula (Mike) of Wind Ridge; five grandchildren, Stacey Lee Ullom, Ashton Pikula Shaffer, Colton M. Pikula, Christina Nelson and Danny Ullom Jr.; a great-granddaughter, Chloe Brynn Shaffer; a sister, Donna Jean Dean of Waynesburg; a niece, Billie Shultz of Waynesburg, who was like a daughter to her; a special best friend of 53 years, JoAnn Kiger; and many nieces and nephews.
Deceased are two brothers, Earnest Stickles and Ronald Stickles, and a sister, Thelma Jean Stickles.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday in Behm Funeral Homes Inc., 182 West High Street, Waynesburg, where services will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday, January 8, with ministers Mike Hasselbring and Tom Fowler Sr. officiating. Burial will follow in Green Mount Cemetery. Waynesburg VFW Auxiliary will hold a memorial service at 7 p.m. Monday in the funeral home. Condolences may be offered at www.behmfh.com.
