Richard L. Maslo, 78, of Monongahela, died Thursday, January 10, 2013, in Washington County Health Center, Chartiers Township.

He was born December 1, 1934, in North Charleroi, a son of the late Emil and Alma Martin Maslo.

Mr. Maslo was a retired truck driver for Mon Valley Hospital.

He was a life member of Lock 4 Volunteer Fire Company, past president and life member of Washington County Firemen’s Association, member of Monessen Eagles and life member of Slavic Citizens Club of North Charleroi.

Surviving are a sister, Martha and husband Duane Winkleblech of Monongahela; a brother, Emil Maslo Jr. of Au Train, Mich.; and nieces and nephews.

Deceased, in addition to his parents, are his wife, Margaret Hayduk Maslo in 1992; a brother, Carl Maslo; and a sister, Elaine Manack.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday in Carl J. Spallino Funeral Home, 819 Fallowfield Avenue, Charleroi, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, January 14. Interment will follow in Monongahela Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to www.spallinofuneralhome.com.
