Barbara A. Rose, 73, of Stafford, Va., formerly of Washington, died Tuesday, January 8, 2013, in Stafford Hospital, with her children by her side.
She had been a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Washington and attended Mt. Ararat Baptist Church in Stafford.
She was the owner of Alberta’s Tavern. Her greatest joy was caring for her grandchildren, spending time with her family and her love of animals.
Survivors include her children, Howard P. Clifton III of Claysville, and Stephanie Holtschneider and Charles J. Clifton, both of Stafford; and grandchildren Rachel and Justin Holtschneider.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ann and Charles Alberta.
A memorial service will be held at 5 p.m. Thursday, January 17, in Mt. Ararat Baptist Church. A guest book is available at www.covenantfuneralservice.com.
