Sara L. Grable, 95, of Houston, formerly of Scenery Hill and West Finley, went to be with the Lord Monday, January 21, 2013, in Washington County Health Center, Chartiers Township.

She was born July 25, 1917, in Clarksville, a daughter of the late Joseph Miles and Helen Jane Williams Yocum.

Mrs. Grable was a 1936 graduate of Beallsville High School.

On September 26, 1983, she married Wayne F. Grable, who preceded her in death.

She was a clerk for the U.S. Postal Service in the Scenery Hill Post Office from 1965 to 1969 and worked in the credit office for Sears in Washington from 1969 to 1979.

Mrs. Grable was a member of Windy Gap Presbyterian Church for more than 25 years. She also was a member of Presbyterian Women and West Finley Friendship Club.

She enjoyed flower gardening and feeding birds and shared love and devotion for her family.

Surviving are three daughters, Sandra (Larry) Rush of Canonsburg, Barbara Ginther (Richard) of Houston and Martha (Kevin) Mooney of O’Fallon, Mo.; a son, Shirl (Terri) Grable of Fallston, Md.; a sister, Edith Ealy of Washington; a sister-in-law, Lewanda Yocum of Vanderbilt; a daughter-in-law, Daphne Grable of Hueytown, Ala.; 16 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Deceased, in addition to her parents and husband, are two sons, Ronald W. Grable and Gary Grable; a brother, Charles Yocum; and a daughter-in-law, Mary Patricia Grable.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday in John B. Greenlee Funeral Home, 2830 Main Street, Beallsville, where services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, January 26, with Pastor George Crawford officiating. Interment will follow in Scenery Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to Asera Care Hospice, 300 Penn Center Boulevard, Suite 602, Pittsburgh, PA 15235; and Windy Gap Presbyterian Church, 132 Burnsville Ridge Road, West Finley, PA 15377.
