Judith A. Kovscek, 65, of Finleyville, died Tuesday, January 29, 2013, in St. Clair Hospital, Mt. Lebanon.

She was born February 15, 1947, in Uniontown, a daughter of the late Angelo DiMatteo and Anna Macatura Slavish.

Mrs. Kovscek was a homemaker.

She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Church in Finleyville, Ladies of Charity and Christian Mothers groups of the church and the Columbiettes.

Mrs. Kovscek enjoyed baking and was well-known for the delicious breads, cakes and wedding cakes that she made.

Surviving are her husband, Francis “Frank” Kovscek; three sons, Francis “Frank” Kovscek Jr. of New Eagle, Steven Kovscek of Finleyville and Christopher Kovscek of Washington; a daughter, Dr. Annastasia Kovscek of Langley, Wash.; a brother, Joe DiMatteo of Arizona; three grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Deceased are two brothers, Andrew and John DiMatteo.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday in Kegel Funeral Home Inc., Tim P. Kegel, supervisor, 3560 Washington Avenue, Finleyville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, February 2, in St. Francis Church, Finleyville, with the Rev. Robert J. Boyle as celebrant. Private internment in Sylvan Heights Cemetery, Uniontown.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Francis of Assisi Church Building Fund, 3609 Washington Avenue, Finleyville, PA 15332.
