Shirley A. Dunfee, 78, of Deerfield, Ohio, passed away Sunday, July 7, 2013, in Robinson Memorial Hospital, Ravenna, Ohio.
She was born June 7, 1935, in Burgettstown, a daughter of the late Charles and Mary Steckler Hawkins.
Mrs. Dunfee had lived in Deerfield for the past 28 years and was formerly of Ravenna.
She retired from the Loving Care in Lake Milton, Ohio, and after retirement she enjoyed her grandkids and great-grandkids.
In addition to her parents, deceased are her husband William Dunfee Sr.; grandchildren Donnie Krebs, Eric Dunfee and stepfather Darrell White.
Surviving are her children, Cheryl (Fred) Hayes of Ravenna, William (Lynda) Dunfee Jr. of Diamond, Ohio, Dan (Judy) Dunfee of Aubrey, Texas, Jeff (Dinah) Dunfee of Mantua, Ohio, Gary (Joan) Dunfee of Rootstown, Ohio, and Darrel (Kelly) Dunfee of Deerfield; 15 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; sister Doris Giacometti; and brothers Charles “Buddy” Hawkins and John White.
Calling hours will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday in Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home Ravenna Chapel, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, July 12, with Pastor Jason Moore officiating.
