Carpenter enjoyed football & gardening

Jason Eric “Bub” Paugh, 36, of Avella, died Friday, July 12, 2013, in Washington Hospital.

He was born May 23, 1977, in Wheeling, W.Va., a son of Dolores Richards Miller of Athens, Ohio, and the late James Miller.

Mr. Paugh was a carpenter by trade and a regular handy man, even volunteering his skills with the renovation of the old bank building in Avella.

He was a member of Avella Athletics and enjoyed football, gardening, mowing his grass and taking care of his two dogs, Yukon and Sassy, whom he loved dearly.

Surviving, in addition to his mother, are his fiancée Nicole McClain of Avella; aunt and uncle Karen and Larry Richards of Avella; sister Julie (Rick) Miller of Nashville, Tenn.; sisters-in-law Gerri and Michelle McClain, both of Avella; nieces Lycricia Miller, Jessie Billeter and Makayla Romanetti; nephews Austin and Steven Miller; cousins Darrell, Michael and Melissa Prunty and Bonnie Stevens.

Deceased, in addition to his father, are maternal grandparents Francis “Bud” and Elva Boots Richards and aunts Carolyn Woodburn and Loretta Mitchell.

Friends will be received from 2 to 6 p.m. Monday, July 15, in Taucher Funeral Home, 23 Erie Mine Road, Burgettstown, with a service immediately following with the Rev. Chuck Weiss officiating. Other arrangements will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the funeral home.
