Retired from Mayview State Hospital
Donna G. Mitchell, 82, of New Eagle, formerly of Bethel Park, died Sunday, July 14, 2013, in her home.
She was born October 6, 1930, in Monongahela, a daughter of Donald and Gertrude Scott Heslep.
Her first employment was at Woodville State Hospital and she then began working at Mayview State Hospital, where she retired as a communications supervisor. She enjoyed sitting on her porch, spending time with her family, especially her grandson, TJ.
Surviving are a son, Troy Emerson and wife Melinda Mitchell of Liberty Borough; a grandson, Troy Emerson Mitchell Jr.; a sister, Joann and husband Jerome Ermlich and their family of Florida; a sister-in-law, Laverna Calderone of New Eagle; and a niece, Lugene Calderone of New Eagle.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Sherral Gayelyn Mitchell, who died September 21, 2012.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday in Frye Funeral Home Inc., 427 West Main Street, Monongahela, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, July 19, with the Rev. Raymond DiCamillo officiating. Interment will follow in Monongahela Cemetery.
