Auggie’s Pizza Shop owner

Elvira Iagnemma, 97, of Eighty Four, formerly of Bridgeville, passed away at 8:45 p.m. Sunday, July 14, 2013, in Golden Living of South Hills.

She was born April 22, 1916, in Provenzia de L’Aquila, Italy, a daughter of the late Ascenzio and Celestine Ginangelli Urbani.

Mrs. Iagnemma lived most of her life in Bridgeville, where she had been a member of St. Agatha Roman Catholic Church, Christian Mothers and the SNPJ Lodge in Sygan. She was a member of St. Thomas Episcopal Church and was a homemaker.

She had been owner of Auggie’s Pizza Shop in Bridgeville.

Mrs. Iagnemma was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

On September 30, 1936, she married Aquilino Iagnemma, who died November 9, 1985.

Surviving are a daughter, Marie (Jerry) DeRiso, with whom she made her home; six grandchildren, Brad (Ruth) Kilzer, Seth (Jane) Kilzer, Henry (Angie) Iagnemma Jr., Gretchen (Mitch) Wagner, Karen DeRiso and Geraldine (Al) Ibrahiem; three stepgrandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; a brother, Eno (Mary) Urbani of Sacramento, Calif.; a sister, Angeline Campalongo of Carnegie; and many nieces and nephews.

Deceased, in addition to her parents and husband, are a son, Henry Iagnemma, and two brothers and two sisters.

Friends are welcome from 1 to 5 p.m., the time of service, Wednesday, July 17, 2013, in St. Thomas Episcopal Church, 139 North Jefferson Avenue, Canonsburg. Private interment in St. Agatha Cemetery, Bridgeville, will be Thursday, July 18.
