U.S. Army veteran lived in Washington

Claude Andrew Saulsberry, 68, of Washington and formerly of Canonsburg, died Thursday, July 18, 2013, in his home.

He was born November 18, 1944, in Canonsburg, a son of the late Charles E. Sr. and Mary Micik Saulsberry.

Mr. Saulsberry was a U.S. Army veteran.

He loved building model cars and was an avid NASCAR fan who loved watching racing. He also loved oldies music and listening to WJPA radio Sunday mornings.

On March 16, 1968, in Winchester, Va., he married Caroleen Rolek, who survives.

Surviving are three daughters, Stacey (John) Alderson of Washington, Renee (Robert) Bolander of McMurray and Melinda (William) Pillar of Canonsburg.

Also surviving are eight grandchildren, John Alderson Jr., Taylor (Timothy) Ryan, Robert Bolander III, Faith Saulsberry, Blake Joseph, Ashton Saulsberry, Graecie Snoderly and Genevieve Pillar.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles Jr. and James Saulsberry.
