Longtime employee of Interstate Foodland

Anna Wyland, 92, of Hixenbaugh’s Personal Care Home, Claysville, formerly of Washington, went to be with her Lord Friday, July 19, 2013.

She was born October 9, 1920, a daughter of Roy and Goldie McBride.

On July 30, 1938, she married Joseph Wyland, who passed away April 19, 2008.

For more than 30 years, she was employed at Interstate Foodland, where she was fondly referred to as “Granny.” She loved working there and made countless friends.

She was a member of Friendship Community Church.

Surviving are a daughter, JoAnn Westfall; a granddaughter, Terri (Jerry) Anderson; a grandson, Robert (Kim) Westfall; two great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Ruth Razvoza and Gladys Goroncy; and a brother, Harold McBride.

Deceased are two sisters, Margaret Kimble and Stella Muncie, and three brothers, Ralph McBride, Harold “Hack” McBride and Walter McBride.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, July 22, with the Rev. Paul Spence officiating. Burial will follow in Washington Cemetery.
