Enjoyed fixing old cars
James P. Hartley, 71, of Marion, Ohio, formerly of Sandusky, Ohio, died Friday, July 19, 2013, in Presidential Center.
He was born November 22, 1941, in Waynesburg, a son of the late Ottis and Thelma Hickman Hartley.
Mr. Hartley was married to Wanda Wilson in 1978, who survives.
He retired from the building and maintenance department of Ohio Veterans’ Home in Sandusky.
Mr. Hartley enjoyed fixing old cars, woodworking and tinkering with everything.
Surviving are two daughters, Tammy (Gary) Nutter of Marion and Lesa (George Jr.) MacAdam of Toledo; grandchildren Tyler and Casey MacAdam and Myles and Jordyn Nutter; and a sister, Sue Valentine of Salem, Va.
Visitation was held in Gunder/Hall and Folk Funeral Directors, Marion, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 24. Burial will follow in Chapel Heights Memory Garden, Marion.
