Homemaker enjoyed going to bingo
Anna L. Rice Harford, 92, of Clarksville, died Tuesday, July 23, 2013, in the home of her daughter in Fredericktown.
She was born April 30, 1921, in Herbert, Fayette County, a daughter of the late Henry and Pearl Halterbaum Lane.
Mrs. Harford was married to the late Harold M. Rice, who died February 6, 1973, and William Harford, who died April 21, 1991.
She was a homemaker who enjoyed going to bingo.
Mrs. Harford was a member of Calvary Chapel in Fredericktown.
Surviving are six children, Robert (Theresa) Rice of Clarksville, Harold “Beanie” C. (Kathy) Rice of Clarksville, Pearl DeShields of Fredericktown, Dennis Rice of Berea, Ohio, Betty (Robert) Rush of Jefferson and James (Chris) Rice of Waynesburg; 12 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; and a sister, Kathryn Meyers of Clarksville.
Deceased are a daughter, Sharon Wilcznski; three grandchildren; three brothers, James Lane, Henry Lane Jr. and William Lane; and five sisters, Alice Balmer, Mamie Goney, Evelyn Sahady, Blanche Karo and Harriet Carnathan.
Friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday in Behm Funeral Home, 1477 Jefferson Road, Jefferson, Gregory P. Rohanna, supervisor, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 27, with Pastor John Thomas officiating. Interment will follow in Jefferson Cemetery.
