Lucille Davis, 98, of Brockway, died at 11:30 p.m. Monday, July 22, 2013, in Highlandview Healthcare, Brockway.
She was born May 28, 1915, a daughter of George B. and Ethel Kiger Lockhart.
Mrs. Davis was married to Floyd I. Davis, who died May 24, 1995.
She was a resident of Whiteley Township for 67 years, then moved to Hazen and later made her home in Brockway.
Mrs. Davis was a homemaker, a charter member of Whiteley Township Farm Women and a member of the Busy Bees of Kirby United Methodist Church.
She attended Waynesburg University and was employed at Greenway Factory for 23 years.
She was a charter member of Kirby United Methodist Church and later Moorhead United Methodist Church in Brockway.
Her hobbies included quilting, gardening, flowers, crocheting and playing cards and dominoes.
Surviving are daughter Marjorie (Kenneth) Statler of Brockway; grandson Ronald Statler of DuBois; four great-grandchildren, Angela (Kenny) Mitchell, Adam (Ellie) Statler, Hillary (Derek) Marshall and Ashley (Lucas) Sheaffer; four great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased is granddaughter Charlene Whelpley.
There will be no public calling hours. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 27, in Moorhead United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Robert Trask and the Rev. Walter Hehman officiating. Interment will be in Fairall Cemetery, Waynesburg. Memorials may be made to Moorhead UMC, 335 Main Street, Brockway, PA 15824.
