Ruth Emma Blaker, 79, of Waynesburg, died Thursday, July 25, 2013, in Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, W.Va.
She was born June 23, 1934, in Crucible, a daughter of the late Herman and Emma Zablotny Wolff.
Mrs. Blaker was a graduate of Carmichaels High School.
On March 22, 1952, she married the love of her life, Fred D. Blaker, who died June 20, 1998. Together, they owned and operated Blaker Electric and Hillside Self-Storage in Waynesburg.
She loved to work in her flower garden and to host family dinners and parties. She was witty, funny and quick with a wisecrack.
Surviving are four daughters, Debbie (Gary) Milovac, Terri (Don) Ingram and Lori Blaker (Chuck Varner), all of Waynesburg, and Vikki (Virgil) Wise of Hundred, W.Va.; son Wayne Blaker of Waynesburg; sister Gertrude Busti of Crucible; eight grandchildren, Heather (Mike) Ross, Brandon Ingram, Katie Ingram, Alyssa Areford, Amber Kesner, Haley Kesner, Emma Blaker and Kylie Blaker, all of Waynesburg; and a great-granddaughter, Gabrielle Ross of Waynesburg.
Deceased are two sisters, Meta Stacy and Helen Santelle, and three brothers, Hans Wolfe, Leo Wolfe and Thomas Wolff.
Friends and family will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday in Behm Funeral Home Inc., 182 West High Street, Waynesburg, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 30, with the Rev.
