Elizabeth Witcher, 93, of Washington, died Sunday, June 2, 2013, in ManorCare, McMurray.
She was born June 1, 1920, in Canonsburg, a daughter of the late Caleb and Victoria Hill Griffin.
Mrs. Witcher was a homemaker and treasured time spent with family.
She married Leandrew Walker Witcher, who died in 1966.
Surviving are two grandchildren, Jacqueline Elizabeth (Gary) Jones and Joseph Witcher Jr., both of Alexandria, Va.; two caregivers and nieces, Christine Evans Tyler and Rochele Evans Wallace, both of Washington; eight great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Deceased are a son, Joseph LeRoy Witcher; a granddaughter, Angelica Christine Witcher; five brothers, William, Arthur, Emmitt, Jim and Grant Griffin; and three sisters, Louise Adams, Ophelia Griffin and Emma Evans.
Friends will be received from 10 to 11 a.m., the time of service, Thursday, June 6, in Mt. Olive Baptist Church, 170 Greenside Avenue, Canonsburg, with the Rev. Hugh Lee Wallace officiating.
