Gloria Faye Townsend Zuzik Hart, 83, of Carmichaels, died Sunday, June 2, 2013, in Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, W.Va.
She was born February 3, 1930, in Palmer, a daughter of the late Edwin Ray and Jessie Marie Lewis Townsend.
Surviving are her husband, Charles William (Bill) Hart; two daughters, Karen Sue Zuzik Bradmon (Charles) of Carmichaels and Joyce Arlene Zuzik Drew (Gary) of Greensboro; a stepson, John A. Hart (Kelli) of Waynesburg; five grandchildren, Dr. Michael W. Bradmon (Leanne), Dana Svensson (Mikael), Ashley Simkovic (Justin), Christopher Drew and Joel Morris; a great-grandchild, Dakota W. Bradmon; and a brother, Kenneth R. Townsend (Janice), and a sister, Janice A.McMinn (Paul), both of Carmichaels.
Deceased are her first husband, Michael Edward Zuzik, who died in 1972, and two sisters, Myrtle M. Townsend and Audrey A. Lazuka.
Mrs. Hart was a graduate of German Township High School in 1948.
She was a member of First Christian Church in Carmichaels and Perryopolis, where she taught Sunday school and sang in the choirs. She also was a member of Order of Eastern Star in Masontown.
Mrs. Hart sang in a quartet in her youth and assisted the Gracemen Gospel Group with their bookings.
Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in Lesako Funeral Home Inc., 204 Dowlin Avenue, Carmichaels, PA 15320, 724-966-5100, Paul M. Lesako, director/supervisor/owner, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 6. Interment will follow in Greene County Memorial Park, Morgan Township. www.lesakofuneralhomeinc.com
