John R. Gregory Jr., 70, of Finleyville, Nottingham Township, passed away peacefully Monday, June 3, 2013, in his home, to be with his Heavenly Father.
He was born February 28, 1943, in Pittsburgh, a son of the late John R. Sr. and Ruth Jenkins Gregory.
Mr. Gregory was a graduate of Peters Township High School and the Art Institute of Pittsburgh.
He was the former owner of J. Gregory Restaurant Equipment Sales and Design in Monongahela and the Donut Station in Donora.
Mr. Gregory was a member of Library Baptist Church in Finleyville.
Surviving are his loving and devoted wife, Karen Waugh Gregory; a son, Mark D. Gregory and wife Deborah of Frederick, Md.; a daughter, Megan L. Roy and husband Louis of St. Marys, W.Va.; a sister, Ruth Griffin of the state of Washington; three grandchildren, Jessica and Justice Roy and Alina Gregory; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in Kegel Funeral Home Inc., Tim P. Kegel, supervisor, 3560 Washington Avenue, Finleyville. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 6, in Library Baptist Church, Walter Long Drive, off Route 88 North, Finleyville, with Pastor John Arnold officiating. Private entombment will be in Forest Lawn Gardens mausoleum, McMurray. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
